Tips & tricks

  • Rice or bean vermicelli both work; bean noodles are a little more translucent. Feel free to use more noodles.
  • Shrimp doneness: raw shrimp are almost straight, perfectly cooked shrimp curl into a loose "C", and overcooked shrimp curl into a tight "O".
  • Chicken version: Skip the garlic shrimp and add cooked diced or shredded chicken.
  • Nutrition is based on 3 servings. Sodium looks high because the recipe makes a generous amount of dressing, and about a quarter of it typically stays on the plate.
